Roberto Masiero, International business development and global strategic management advisor, completed a 2 days trip to Minsk, Belarus to assist the opening of Foedus' new office.
At the opening ceremony on 12 September President of Foedus Foundation Mario Baccini noted that the company sees the ideal conditions in Minsk to turn its main principles into reality. According to the Italian representative, the company would like to attract the best business powers to invest in Belarus and set up Italian-Belarusian companies.
Joint efforts of the government and businessmen of the two countries will help to make the best use of natural and human resources for the development of the two countries.
“We are interested in an intellectual exchange between our countries. We plan to engage your most promising personnel in training in Italy, provide scholarships for best students,” the President of the company said.
The parties signed joint projects and investment programs prepared in cooperation with the National Investment and Privatization Agency. The documents include an agreement to set up a joint company on machine-tool production in Belarus (Belstankoinstrument-MK Industrial Engineering-Kovosvit, the Czech Republic), a memorandum to prepare a concession agreement to develop a granite deposit in Belarus (the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Belarus-MK Industrial Engineering), a memorandum to set up a joint company to implement environmental programs in urban waste reclamation and storage (Getlini Latvia and MK Industrial Engineering).
According to Mario Baccini, the fund was founded 10 years ago to support culture, economy, and business. The main activities of the fund include the development of companies, job creation, the fight against hunger and poverty, protection of human values. Foedus implements and promotes international research, conducts large-scale analysis, cooperates with the governments of developed and developing countries.
Belarus launched its cooperation with the Italian fund Foedus in December 2013. Over the time Mario Baccini and Italian businessmen have paid a number of visits to Belarus. There were held working meetings and talks with Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and representatives of the Belarusian ministries and agencies.
