Noemi Sanguinetti, international artist and sculptor

Alice Willi By Alice Willi | diciembre 15, 2012 | United States

At Art Miami 2012 we had the great opportunity to meet Noemi Sanguinetti, international artist and sculptor, but not only, who this time exhibited her works at the Kavachnina Contemporary Art Gallery.

At Art Miami, always at the Kavachnina Contemporary, she exhibited two small precious jewelry made of bronze with the technique of "lost wax".

Born in 1950 in Buenos Aires, where she studied at the Art Academy, Noemi Sanguinetti is basically a sculptor, having successfully produced works also used painting and ceramics. After experimenting with different materials for many years, she has come to know and appreciate the marble, which requires a considerable force, and to choose it as her favorite material. On her side she had a great teacher, Ramon Castejon (student Maioll and Clarà), taught her the technique of the points of the compass and use gold to switch from the sketch work.

She has turned  practically all over the world exposing her  works (started in '72), she made  personal shows in Argentina, Brazil, United States, Cuba, Germany, Austria, France and Italy.  She has participate in exhibitions and she has created works in Havana, Barcelona, Frankfurt, and finally (we speak of 2011) she has participated in an exhibition at the Brera Academy, where her works were with those of Manzù, Messina, Minguzzi, Pomodoro, Vangi.

Today we have encountered Noemi Sanguinetti in Miami where she would like to find new inspiration and where she  threw in a new adventure, leaving for a while her chosen land, Italy, where she lived and worked for many years in her great laboratory.

In Italy she  was called from the desire to work with  the marble  andthe  laboratories of Carrara (where she worked in the laboratory of Carlo Nicoli), but above all by the desire to rediscover her roots in Liguria, the land where her grandparents lived and where they started to migrate to Argentina, in the late nineteenth century.

In Savona, where she has resided since '94, she found her landing place and her perfect place to fecundate her artistic streak and her technical capacities  which she is definitely  greatly gifted.

In Italy she has found great estimators  in fact she  has put on many shows and her works are present in various Ligurians countries from Badalucco to  Varazze.

It can say that Noemi Sanguinetti is a multi-faceted artist who has always expressed a very personal style, her sculptures are now the product of all the previous moments, related to her wandering life and to her personal history. Her works transmit  a message of inner beauty, of life lived intensely, of citizen of the world, of person  able to leave physically the people most dear  but she is able to represent in her works the very strong feelings  which  fill her mind.

In the past two years, Noemi Sanguinetti decided to express her feelings dedicating herself to a world of  "curious bronzes winged bipeds"  attestations as sentinels to defend against an unknown enemy.

These inventions are joyous and dramatic at the same time, they suggest the cadences clumsy and hesitant of flightless birds but carrying a secret harmony arcane message.

That at the Kavachnina Contemporary Art Gallery  is an exhibition not to be missed, you have to visit it quietly, pausing you  in front of each  work of Noemi Sanguinetti, enjoying you  the harmonies that pop up (literally) from each piece .... you will feel the author's strength and at the same time the delicacy of her compositions.

Take the time .... it will not be wasted!
