The digital area of the Bologna experience is aimed at the technological side of literature for children. Containing software and hardware, new and old, the digital area showed non-stop presentations in the Digital Cafè from all walks of technological life. They looked at everything from digitalizing images and comparing hard copies to e-books to new ideas and hardware. All of which with kids in mind. The Bee Technology Group managed to express their own beliefs on the important of safety in The Internet and showed us a positive light to children's ever-growing interest in learning from digital means.
Bee showed their fortè in the software world, displaying a little world of their own made just for kids. At the MimiHua stand, we saw displays of the MimiHua Browser, the MimiHua Social Village as well as the MimiHua first edition Android Tablet. The stand provided information and demonstrations of their Apps and App Store, and we learnt exactly how the Bee Technology Group plan to change the Internet learning experience for kids all over the globe. The principal differences from the sftware we aready have, will be pointing above all at safety and we have been blown away by the fine detail and parent involvement in their kids' surfing time.
MimiHua has enjoyed back-to-back appointments with illustrators, writers, editors and people interested in children's education over the four days in Bologna and are in the process of working with professionals from all over the world on new software/hardware ideas, which will surely be as safe and exciting as their existing projects... watching this space!
