Elon Musk has paid well $ 866,000 (equal to 620 thousand Euros ) to buy the Lotus Esprit used by James Bond in the film "007 : The Spy Who Loved Me ."

But who knows  if he used Paypal to transfer the money?

The  specialized site Jalopnik has discovered  infact  that was the 42-year old co -founder of the most popular online payment system in the world to win an auction last September in London the  futuristic car turned into a mock submarine in the  famous Bond's film.

But the South African entrepreneur does not seem to want to keep the car on display at all but by combining his passion for the past spacecraft ( founded Space X , which is still CEO ) to the current environmental interest ( is CEO of Tesla Motors, which designs and manufactures high-performance electric cars ), plans to make it work for really. Obviously underwater.

In fact, he's going to change it, providing it with a Tesla electric powertrain to try to turn it into a real James Bond car, or able to move both on the road and under the water.
