Also this year the December 7 was held the "Candy Cane Parade", the 58th, at Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.

The parade was started  at Scott Street and headed south to Harrison Street  along the unique beautiful walk along the Ocean.

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts organized, as always, the Parade  whose theme this year was “Destination Illumination”.

At the parade attended festive floats, marching bands and creative displays from civic, non-profit and children’s groups, all come together with the City to put on this hometown holiday celebration.

The Broadwalk was full of people and children that flocked to see the animated floats, danced and listened to music played by the very good bands.

Complimentary bleacher seating were set up on the sand along the parade route from Scott Street to Tyler Street with parade announcers stationed across from Charnow Park at Garfield Street and at the Hollywood Beach Theatre at Johnson Street.

Many spectators however  brought a blanket or lawn chair for a more comfortable viewing along the parade route or they  reserved  tables at  restaurants for a complete beachfront experience.

This year the 58th Candy Cane Parade was very well organized also from the point of view of safety, in fact, the Organizers have arranged numerous fences, united  one with another, along the Broadwalk to prevent people and children, in particular, of incurring in potential dangers trying to collect delicious candy that are thrown by the persons parading.

A spectacular parade....you can not miss it the next December 7, 2014, here at Hollywood Beach, Florida!
