ECONOMY AND ECOLOGY IN HARMONY

tony curtis By tony curtis | October 27, 2013 | United States

The 16 October was World Food Day.

TUTTOFOOD supports the principles on which this day was based. Food is one of the widest-ranging themes in the modern world, encompassing ecology, the economy, culture, civil commitment and social policies. Moreover, the components of the food production system include the environment, people, institutions and the procedures employed to produce, process and transport agricultural commodities. Every part of the food production system has an effect on the availability of nutritious items. This, in turn, influences how easy it is to adopt a healthy diet. What should a sustainable food production system be like? Is such a target possible in the world as it is today? What would need to change for things to move in this direction? The 2013 World Food Day was  an opportunity to explore these and other questions, and to build the future we want.

TUTTOFOOD has created a new advertising campaign for its 2015 event that only uses eco-sustainable products made with natural fibres and recycled, environmentally friendly materials.

Our commitment is drawn from the principle at the heart of Milan Expo 2015, which sets out that food is a vital source of energy for the planet, necessary for sustainable development based on correct nutrition and secure access to food, respect for the fundamental practices of life and health.

TUTTOFOOD IS AN ECOSUSTAINABILITY-ORIENTED BRAND.
