And the challenge continues!

After the disastrous first round, the president has partly recovered on Romney, but on the other hand it was also difficult to do worse than his first performance.

It was an important evening for Mr. Obama, Democrat  played around with the challenger Mitt Romney in the second televised debate at Hofstra University in Long Island. This time the President has been more toned and fighting on all fronts, from economics to foreign policy, I'd say he was quite intrusive occupying the time of Romney with the  Moderator consent that more than once she instead intervened blocking the Governor.

The formula  was different this time:  eighty highly undecided voters were selected by the Gallup polling company,  they posed questions to the candidates that they should respond seated on stools but in reality often both were standing on the shelf.   Among them the moderator Candy Crowley, CNN, that she not limited to act as a "rough" but she urged candidates to turn when the answers were evasive in particular of uncomfortable questions.

As we said above, President Obama, it soon became much more toned than in the first debate, and he attacked the rival of one of the crucial issues: "Governor Romney - Obama said - said to have a program of five points. But it is not true. His program has only one point: to ensure that the rich can play with different rules from others "

Q & A on bankruptcy and saving the Detroit automakers. "The president accuses me of wanting the bankruptcy of Detroit: General Motors and Chrysler have filed for bankruptcy, it was a necessary step to recover," said Romney.  Obama replied: "Government support in bankruptcy was necessary, in the game there were millions of jobs."  Romney reiterated: "Obama not telling the truth."

Sparks also on the energy issue, particularly on drilling licenses. Romney accused Obama of having radically reduced these permits in the last 4 years spending money on wind energy which will certainly a mode  added but not alternative.   Obama replied: "it not true."

Romney fights back on debt: "Obama promised to reduce the public debt,  halved.  But in the last four years it has exploded, multiplying. With him in the White House will be even worse, it come to twenty billion dollars"  Romney added that his work as manager was successful, it  was to "fix the accounts",  from the Olympic Games, to the state of Massachusetts:  "He speaks  evil of my plan, but his record speaks for itself."

It was one of the weaknesses of the President,  after the controversy assault on the consulate in Benghazi in which  died, last September 11,  the U.S. Ambassador and three other Americans. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had assumed responsibility for the incident, Obama has instead insisted that he was the commander in chief, taking full responsibility (which just seems to me that right).  Obama called  "offensive" the political use of the Libyan facts made by the Republicans,  the Republican accused the President  not having defined for two weeks  the assault as an "act of terrorism", but the Moderator Candy Crowley (and here  she was declared openly on the side of Mr. Obama!, she went rescue to Obama, she acted like a good mom) denied  remembering that instead he had done within 24 hours after the initial hesitation that led the administration to speak of "spontaneous demonstration".

The President has been more vibrant, true, but he has dedicated himself body and soul to attack Romney, but he said little of its programs, think of how to pull America out of the economic crisis which has plunged. This was more accurate Romney that when he had to defend himself against accusations of Obama, has revived (for summary lines) his plan to boost employment and reduce public debt. Romney being more careful than in the past to social issues that  so much  are dear to women and support the most vulnerable members of society.

Meanwhile, the challenge continues even among pollsters to determine who among the two contenders had the best and is at the top: the estimates are very mixed. According to Gallup Mitt Romney with 50% of the preferences of likely voters in the lead to four points over Barack Obama, stuck at 46.   While Ipsos claims that the American president is leading the Republican candidate to the White House by three points, with 46% of the vote.

And the challenge continues!
